KINGDOM HEARTS
SUNDAY SERVICE YzY SPEAK LIFE Some Sundays the weight of your own struggles feels heavy enough without carrying anyone else’s. Yet in the middle of your tiredness, God reminds you of a quiet calling that matters more than most things we chase: speak life into people. Not criticism. Not silence. Not polite indifference. LIFE. Every conversation carries invisible power. A single word, a look, a moment of real attention can water a soul or dry it up. Most people walk into this room already parched. They are hungry for someone to see them without requiring a performance. Hungry to know their presence is wanted, not just tolerated. Hungry to believe they matter. You carry more influence than you realize. Not because of position or charisma, but because of the atmosphere you bring. People may forget your clever points or impressive stories, but they will remember how they felt while standing near you. Did something inside them open up or shrink back? Did they leave feeling a little more alive or a little more invisible? Jesus showed us the way. He spoke life to the woman at the well, to the tax collector in the tree, to the leper no one would touch. Where others saw failure, He called forth dignity. Where others pronounced judgment, He released hope. His words did not flatter; they restored. Even on the cross He spoke life over the thief beside Him: “Today you will be with me in paradise.” The early church lived this out loud. They encouraged one another daily. They lifted the discouraged, restored the fallen, reminded the weary that they were not alone. Paul told them, “Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Look around this morning. That young person staring at the floor may be one kind word away from hope. You are always bringing something into every room. You can drain life by focusing on flaws and differences. Or you can release life by choosing to listen, to honor, to remind people of who they are in Christ. The difference is not complicated. It is costly. It requires dying to the urge to criticize or withdraw. It requires staying present and choosing kindness even when you are empty. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” (Proverbs 18:21) “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11) Today, make this your aim. Speak life. Not because everyone deserves it, but because Christ spoke life over you when you did not. Let your words and your presence become tools in His hands to nourish what the world has tried to starve. The people around you are starving. Feed them with the love you have received. AMEN 4NBT
